Rock on the Range festival announces lineup

This year’s Rock on the Range festival has just announced some of the bands that will be headlining the festival, including A Perfect Circle, Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold.

The 2011 festival marks the fifth year of the event, which will take place at the Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio from May 21-22.

Additional performers at the festival include well-known bands like Korn, Black Label Society, Bullet For My Valentine, Staind, Danzig, Hinder, All That Remains, Saving Abel, P.O.D., Finger Eleven and Stone Sour, as well as some lesser known bands like Hollywood Undead, Alter Bridge, Escape The Fate, The Damned Things, Fu Manchu, My Darkest Days, Trapt, Rev Theory, Cavo, Pop Evil and Sick Puppies.

Hard and alternative rock fans also have a chance to “pre-game” the festival by attending a ROTR anniversary party on May 20, which features performers Steel Panthers and Lez Zeppelin (an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band). The best part about the anniversary party is that it’s 100 percent FREE for Rock on the Range ticket holders.

Dates set for Rock on the Range 2011

Dust off your leather vest, iron the bandanas and polish the boots! Rock On The Range 2011 is set for May 21-22 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

The two-day rockriffic assault will be the festival’s birthday shindig on May 20, touted as “the nation’s biggest anniversary party yet” and will feature “some of the world’s craziest throwback rock artists” according to the event’s announcement. Tickets for the anniversary party are free with every Rock On The Range weekend ticket purchase.

Regular Rock on the Range tickets will go on sale in early 2011, but you can already purchase advance tickets through the new layaway plan.  Field general admission tickets are priced at $129.50 and stadium general admission are $99.50, plus layaway, service and transaction fees. There’s a four-ticket minimum for layaway purchases.

So while you’re saving for your tickets, make a note that the lineup won’t be announced until next year. It will be here before you know it.
